Kevin Briggs is a retired Sergeant with the California Highway Patrol, as well as an Army Veteran. He spent many years patrolling the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. While on patrol, he encouraged more than 200 individuals to either not go over the bridge’s rail or come back to solid ground. These challenging, but rewarding efforts, earned him the nickname “Guardian of the Golden Gate Bridge.”

After a 23-year career with the California Highway Patrol, Kevin retired to dedicate his life to promote mental health awareness and suicide prevention across the globe. He uses real stories, letters from families of suicide attempt survivors, pictures, and first hand encounters to deliver a powerful message of resilience, awareness, and healing.

Kevin Briggs’ powerful message so closely aligns with The Kim Foundation’s mission, and we are thrilled to bring him to the Omaha Metro Area to share his story.
