Jingle Bell Run 5K Fun Run/Walk

IT’S TIME FOR SOME WINTER FUN

WITH THE JINGLE BELL RUN

Registration is now open for the Jingle Bell Run, a 5K fun run/walk on Saturday, December 1^st, 2012 at Shadow Lake Towne Center in Papillion, NE. This one of a kind event offers a chance for the brave to bundle up or don their best costume and head outside for a fun way to stay active during the winter months.  They will be helping a good cause at the same time since all proceeds benefit the Papillion-La Vista South Health Systems Academy.

Special features of the event include the Penguin Run, a one mile fun run/walk for kids and adults, the Jingle Bell Run offering a traditional 5K run/walk for everyone, and the Mr. and Mrs. Claus Run for those 60 and over.  An additional event, the Reindeer Run, allows groups of three to be tethered together and participate as a team.

Medals will be offered in each age division for the Jingle Bell Run, the top three finishers in the Mr. & Mrs. Claus Run, and the top three teams in the Reindeer Run.  A special trophy will be awarded to the top three winners of the costume contest.  All runners will receive a long sleeve Jingle Bell Run T-shirt and the first 300 to register will receive a special goody bag from Shadow Lake Towne Center.

The race is sponsored by Athletes’ Training Center Sports Performance & Physical Therapy, Shadow Lake Towne Center, and Papillion-La Vista School District.
